What a depressing experience to see Amber Rudd – apparently a Conservative MP and minister – alongside the dreadful Eagles woman who read her script badly throughout the ITV debate and spent her time attacking Boris and trawling socialist policies and Lady Macbeth (AKA Nicola Sturgeon) with her agenda for socialism in Scotland. She and they are welcome to it but she must not try to impose it on England. I have to say I find Lady Macbeth’s position most curious. She wants to take Scotland out of the United Kingdom but she wants the UK to stay in the European project. This strikes me as an oxymoron of the highest order unless you listen carefully to her socialist rhetoric. She clearly wants to shackle the UK in the European Union to make it as difficult as possible for our country to help the private sector to grow the economy. Lady Macbeth speaks for those residents of Scotland who have their hands held our for state benefits and not for those Scots who help the economy to grow.
Of course, the Rudd woman is our climate change minister and is responsible for the multiplicity of ghastly wind farms subsidised by all of us and despoiling the countryside. All she has managed in the ITV debate tonight is to list the good and the great of our UK establishment who want us to remain in the EU to line the pockets of their organisations whether major corporations, universities or state sponsored quangos.
Listening to the ITV debate leaves me utterly depressed and looking for a party that I want to support. I am afraid it is not Amber Rudd’s party and it is not David Cameron’s or George Osborne’s party and it is not Victoria Prentis’s party. So where do I go? I suppose I sit quietly until 24 June 2016 but after that, I just don’t know. If Cameron and Osborne win, they will have stolen my country and I fear we will pay in the long term so I hope they fail.
